For many students, the start of a new school year can be both exciting and daunting.
This year, The Mendenhall Blair House Foundation set out to find a way to help ease the financial strain that buying school supplies can cause for numerous families, and we were delighted to launch our inaugural "Back2School" Initiative.
To ensure that every child is equipped with the necessary tools for success, we began to assemble blessing bags containing items such as: notebooks, pencils, pens, and pencil pouches, offering students vital resources to excel in the upcoming academic year.
To maximize the impact of our initiative, we partnered with Communities in Schools of High Point. This foundation is dedicated to keeping kids in school and providing them with the support they need to overcome challenges and better prepare them for the future. Some of their initiatives include Health Fairs, Career Fairs, and a variety of other programs. Through the donation of blessing bags to Communities in Schools, we were able to assist students who may have otherwise faced challenges in obtaining these necessary supplies.
Discovering a foundation like this was exciting, and we immediately realized that partnering with them would be an ideal fit. Their extensive network of schools and community centers allows us to distribute the blessing bags to students who would benefit from them the most. We are grateful for their commitment to helping children succeed and are happy we could contribute to their efforts this year.
